Booking & Terms
Booking Process
To enquire about The Green Room, please get in touch with your preferred date, time and details of your event. Once availability has been confirmed, an invoice will be issued and your booking will be secured upon payment.
Payment Terms
Full payment for room hire and any selected add-ons is required to secure a booking.
Where The Black Thistle is managing ticket sales,
a sales statement will be issued following the event and any remaining balance will be transferred to the organiser within 7 days.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booking will receive a full refund or may be transferred to an alternative date, subject to availability.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking are non-refundable.
Promotion & Booking Support
Promotion & Booking Support is available from £30 and includes:
Event listing on The Black Thistle website
Inclusion in our events calendar
One dedicated social media post across The Black Thistle’s social media channels.
Booking management through The Black Thistle
Attendance numbers and ticket sales cannot be guaranteed.
The organiser remains responsible for deciding whether an event proceeds if ticket sales are lower than anticipated.
Once event listings have been created or promotion has commenced, the Promotion & Booking Support fee becomes non-refundable.
Ticket Sales & Processing Fees
Where The Black Thistle manages bookings and ticket sales, payment processing fees will be deducted before proceeds are transferred to the organiser.
Non-refundable payment processing fees may be deducted from any attendee refunds.
Facilities & Responsibilities
Events taking place during normal trading hours should be mindful that The Black Thistle will remain open to customers.
All bookings include use of The Green Room, tables and seating, free WiFi, access to kitchenette facilities and 10% off in-store purchases for attendees on the day of the event.
The kitchenette includes a fridge, microwave, kettle and sink. Toilet facilities are also available for attendees.
The space should be left in a clean and tidy condition at the end of your booking. Any damage caused during the hire period may be chargeable.
Refreshments & Alcohol
Organisers are welcome to provide refreshments for attendees and make use of the kitchenette facilities available within the space.
Alcohol may be brought onto the premises and served free of charge as part of an event. However, alcohol may not be sold without the appropriate licences and permissions. Organisers are responsible for ensuring their event complies with any applicable licensing requirements.
All food, drink and associated waste must be removed or disposed of appropriately at the end of the booking.
Suitability
The Green Room is intended for workshops, talks, creative gatherings and community events. We reserve the right to decline bookings that we do not feel are suitable for our venue, audience or values.
